Today was a big day. Big big day. Lots of extras, lots of wrangling, lots and lots of chaos and fighting and general mayhem.
And a lot of fun to boot!
We had people come from all over to help us out this weekend, and man was it great. We had some big righteous battle footage to shoot, and we couldn't have asked for a more inspired and capable group of warriors to make it happen for us. Man, it was great! I don't really know what to say about today. It couldn't have gone better. Everything we got is gonna look so goddamn incredible... I shouldn't be too specific though. You'll just have to wait to see the movie.
One guy broke his ankle I think, although we never heard what happened. It wasn't even during the fighting, it was right after a shot. The guy took a bad step on some uneven ground and blammo. No more fighting for him. He and his buddies went off to the hospital, and we never heard from them again. Everything was insured of course, so it wasn't a catastrophic deal, it's just too bad that someone got hurt. Frankly I'm amazed it hasn't happened sooner on this shoot. The guy was really cool looking as well, and we had hoped to use him tomorrow for some closer shots. Oh well. Hope he's okay.
It was a long and exhausting day for everyone, but morale was at an all time high after today. Pretty neat stuff. We went home with smiles on our faces and got some much needed rest before we hit it again tomorrow.
