8/16/2001 - Waste Paper Basket
Sorry, no room to add an extra picture for our down day yesterday. I know, it's tragic, but we'll all get through this if we stick together.
Today we had some problems. Not of our own making per se, but it really threw off our mojo for this last week of shooting. Today and tomorrow we were scheduled to shoot on a set we built that was housed in the shop of Brock's merciful father. Had to be indoors so we could control the light, of course. Problem was that in a field nearby, there was some heavy construction equipment hard at work, or more specifically LOUD at work. Our sound was blaued. After getting everyone and everything out there and lit and ready to go, we wrapped up and went home to sleep for a few hours, because our two day shoots had just become two night shoots. Not too many fans of the change among the crew, but we had no choice. We'd need to reschedule a day longer as a result (it's a long story). Damn.
Once evening rolled around, back we came and got down to it. The scene is gonna be fantastic. Everyone did a great job despite not being prepared for an all nighter. The tight space and smoke and heat were oppressive, but it all worked out okay, and shortly after dawn, we went home. Now we had a bit of a day off though, and we'll need it to prepare for this weekend. That should be interesting.
