| 8/02/2001 - On The Road Again |

This morning we crawled out of bed in time to get the dawn shots we missed yesterday. After that it was time to split. Once again, N.O.R.D. and I made tracks before most everyone else. No one seemed to be in a particular hurry to get out of there, and we weren't particularly interested in staying, so... There was more trouble wrangling Makuya before everyone could go. Torpedo and Straight Flush managed to corral the damn animal into the nearby rancher's yard and eventually capture him. I'm sorry I missed out on that one.
Short-Fuze caught up with us after a bit of distance, just as eager to get going, and we barrelled forth towards our next location. We stopped once to give the others a chance to catch up, but they were way, way behind. Heck with 'em. On we went, stopping as we pleased, getting a good meal, buying bullets, playing some blackjack, all sorts of good stuff.
After several hours of driving through the empty miles of sage, we got to the Dunes. Our next hot-spot. The three of us proceeded to crash and enjoy the peace and quiet while we waited for everyone else. And waited. And waited. They showed shortly after sundown, a trip that should have taken five hours had somehow taken them ten.
I'm glad I left early. Got a long day ahead of us tomorrow.
