7/19/2001 - Primer Nocte
So we're starting four straight days of night shoots. Naturally, everyone is excited to stay up until dawn, attempt to sleep all day, and generally be exhausted and confused.
Oh well.
There were a lot of additional people around this evening, which made the whole shebang a bit more exciting than usual. We had a fairly elaborate light setup as well, and as a result, didn't get started shooting till after midnight. That was not good. It didn't help that there was some confusion with dinner. It was scheduled for eight, Mutt thought it was at nine, and it ended up being ready at ten-thirty. It was one hell of a good dinner though. More poison oak, this time for real, and a wealth of bloodthirsty mosquitos haunted us at this location.
Despite all of that, we shot everything that was needed for the night and wrapped at sunrise. Instead of packing up all the gear and unloading at the same location this evening when we shoot again, Torpedo and I volunteered to camp out and keep watch. There wasn't much watching, but we did a fine job of camping...
Photo Addendum - Short-Fuze tweaks the lights around the campfire as the rest of the crew waits and waits... Heh heh...
