7/08/2001 - Gaining Ground

Stuck at the same location today for starters. Nice spot, but a long distance away from the road to have to hump all our gear. Could be worse though, and in a few days, I'm sure it will be. We got off some absolutely gorgeous shots today. Choice stuff. I can't wait to get the footage back and start to see some editing happen.

Man, I get excited just thinking about it.

We tried to squeeze in another scene scheduled for a later date and got almost all of it in the can. Well, we did get all of it in the can but we'll be re-shooting one of the shots. So technically... uh... Technically we're ahead, but we've gotta pick up that one damn shot.

An attempt at an in-camera super impose maneuver was made at the end of the day in some studio space, but the attempt was not entirely successful. Our background just wasn't flat enough and black enough. No big deal. No lost time on that one.

A good day. Some ups, a couple downs, but overall we are now slightly ahead of schedule, so there's no reason to naysay. Rock & Roll baby...
