| 7/03/2001 - Enter The Intruder |

Tuesday was chock full of the usual mayhem. Lots of rehearsing for our two main actors and one of our main bad guys, speaking of which, I was thinking about getting a bit of a character page up to give all you folks out there an idea of some of the personalities in the film itself. My webmaster'll want to wring my neck I'm sure, but we'll see. I think it sounds like a good idea.
We went and picked up our massive and righteous RV, the Intruder, which will serve as our mobile production office and sanctuary. We went to Costco and bought more food than I ever thought I'd be buying and threw it in the Intruder. Driving that thing is a hell of a good time. Someone along with us said she'd be scared to drive it, but I figure 1) It and the production are insured, so if something bad happens, it'll be taken care of, 2) Pretty much anything it does hit will be completely annihilated, and the people in the RV will be fine, and 3) It's just so much damn fun to drive... If only we had some NOS to put into the engine.
Brought some big props and set dec out to a few of our forest locations... Our producer got Shanghaied up in Portland waiting for our first assistant cameraman at the airport. The guy, known in these parts as "Muskrat" was too late for his flight and got bumped out of his seat. Bummer. I still don't know when they got home last night.
Tomorrow is our big Independence Day pond party, so Lord knows what'll happen. Until then, I'm off...
As for a picture, I've included one of (from left to right) producer Hans Hlawaty, myself, and director Brock Morse, attired for the impending battle. A picture taken last summer during a little R & R...
