Blake Stadel, born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia, has been acting professionally since 1998. His training started at the William Davis Center in Vancouver, and he quickly began to include specialized private coaching, ranging from the Meisner method to Shakespearean coaching with one of the top professors from the National Theater of Belgrade. In 1997 he garnered first place at the AWA Scene and Monologue Competition, and was soon busy working various independent films and theater projects based in Vancouver, as well as numerous student films. It was through the Vancouver Film School that he met Morse in 1995, and first became involved in Westender. Cast as Asbrey from day one, Stadel has played a key role in the development of the story and character. His most recent projects, prior to the beginning of shooting, are "The Circle," a network television pilot, and a production of Neil Simon's "Plaza Suite." |
