Matt Molitor hails from Ann Arbor, Michigan, where he works as a freelance Director of Photography. Originally from Kalamazoo, he obtained a bachelor's degree from nearby Albion College in 1994, before moving to Vancouver, B.C. to study film. During his stint at the Vancouver Film School he participated in numerous student films, specializing in cinematography and camera operation. His graduation in 1996 culminated with the production of a short film written, produced, and directed by Molitor, "50/50." It was at the VFS where Molitor first began working with Morse.

When production went up for "Tumbler" in 1997, Molitor was the first man called. His precise and subtle lighting made him the perfect candidate for the job, and his work was one of the most praised aspects of the film.

In 1998, he returned to the Detriot area and has since been working professionally on commercials, industrials, and independent features. His most recent work as DP includes "Night," a independent short, and "Gahana Bill," a feature documentarty.
